European Union of Associations of Translation Companies

The European Union of Associations of Translation Companies was founded in Italy in September 1994 and its current members are United Kingdom, Italy, France, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Holland, Belgium, Finland, Norway and Spain. Portugal will soon become member of the EUATC.

The EUATC is the only organisation which represents Translation Companies across Europe. Founded in 1994, its membership comprises national associations of translation companies from many European countries.

Each member association nominates two representatives to attend the meetings of the EUATC. The office of President is held for a period of two years in rotation among the members.

The organisation provides the only forum for translation companies to speak with a united voice on issues affecting the industry.

Meetings take place at least twice a year to ensure that decisions can be implemented with speed and efficiency.

It is recognised by the European Commission and is accredited under the aegis of Directorate General XIII to the European Translation Platform where it plays a leading role.
