Localization Consultancy & Technologies Corporation (LC&T), a localization consultancy services and technology firm with a specific focus on the client side aspects of localization, has released a beta version of Clear-CAT. Clear-CAT is a full product localization and workflow application that combines technologies to handle both software and documentation localization projects. The client/server architecture will enable organizations and single users to reduce workload and increase efficiency in the localization cycle of a product by allowing multiple clients/processes to be active at the same time.
Clear-CAT is fully compatible with TRADOS TM, and combines the functionality found in Visual Software localization tools with the benefit of translation memory tools. By using one translation memory technology, which is included in the package, both software and documentation translations will benefit and can leverage from earlier translations when available. |
