NEC Solutions (America) Inc., a provider of integrated solutions for the Connected Enterprise in North America, has announced an instant, wearable voice communication solution -- the Vocera Communications System -- for health care facilities in North America, extending its efforts to provide hospital systems and health care payers with tools, solutions and services to improve security, safety and communication. The system is offered by virtue of NEC Solutions' new value-added reseller relationship with Vocera Communications, Inc., a developer of wireless communications systems.
NEC will be combining the Vocera Communications System with state-of-the-art translation services, enabling health care staff to instantly communicate with patients via medically trained translators in 150 languages, extending the solution's utility in a culturally diverse North American market. By simply touching the call button and speaking the name of the language required, a physician will be immediately connected with an appropriate interpreter to translate a diagnosis directly for a patient. Gone are the lists of phone numbers to dial, or wait times for on-site interpretation. |
